temperature falls below an acceptable level, the thermostat activates the
crankcase oil heater in order to maintain a steady temperate. This will make it
easier for the engine to turn over, reducing strain on your generator and
results in faster start-up.
We recommend the cold weather kit for those
generators that are on platforms, exposed to wind chill, and in areas where the
temperature falls below 32 degrees.
